Book your dream vacation to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah
To keep our staff, guests and the animals safe, we’re reopening to the nearby public on June 25, 2020. This means that residents of Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico or Wyoming who drive to the Sanctuary are welcome to book lodging, reserve a tour or sign up for a volunteer shift. We look forward to inviting guests from all locations soon and thank you for your understanding.
Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, located in beautiful Angel Canyon just five miles north of Kanab, Utah, is a place like no other. When you arrive in the canyon, you immediately feel the peace and tranquility of a place where ancient peoples, who considered the land sacred, gathered in centuries past. Today, many animals call this red rock canyon their home-between homes. They are loved and receive healing here, often after enduring difficult journeys.
We invite you to visit and experience the magic of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary for yourself.
Please plan your Sanctuary trip in advance
Because thousands of volunteers and visitors come to the Sanctuary each year, planning ahead is important. Due to high demand, some activities should be reserved months in advance. We recommend booking your activities before booking your travel. There are also lots of opportunities to explore the Sanctuary on your own and plenty to do in and around Kanab, including fine dining and stunning national parks.
Meeting adoptable pets
If you’re considering adopting a new best friend during your visit, you’ll need to make an appointment with our adoption team in advance. After finding a pet you’re interested in, you can start the process online by clicking "adopt” on that animal’s profile and filling out an adoption form. An adoption specialist will be in touch. If you have questions, please email email@example.com.
